Shopping in Dallas

Today I am leaving to go shopping in Dallas! Won't be back until Sunday morning early:) It is an annual trip with a few close friends. What can be better than shopping, food and fellowship with great christian friends. I am truly blessed with such wonderful friends!

Pray for Callie - she finds out next week whether or not she was accepted to Truth and Peace. She is very anxious. I hope she gets in again - it was so good for her to make friends with other kids from other states. When I check her text messages there are always people that I don't know and I will ask her who they are and she will say "that is one of my buddies from T&P"! I am so proud of her!

Fellowship - (1) companionship (2) a mutual sharing (3) a group of people with the same interests

Friends and Fellowship - Have you ever wondered what church would be like if you attended a big church and did not know very many people? - NO visiting before or after church, NO fellowship over meals, NO fall festival at the Stokes place, NO having fun and food at womens fellowship, NO talking to each other on xanga, the list could go on and on.

I know without a shadow of a doubt that our church is blessed with loving, friendly people. I would not want to go to church anywhere else. I feel blessed to be a part of the LG FWB church. I am so glad for the people in my childrens lives - Terry Black - Callies sunday school teacher - Daryl Heston - Calebs teacher - Curt & Becky - Youth leaders - Jacob & Sarah, Gary & Cassie - Youth helpers - Blake, Ema, JW, Brett, Zach, Haley W, Ashley and Michael Houser - You guys are a wonderful example to my children and I love you for that! Thank you for spending time with them!

I am thankful for my friends that I have - there are too many to mention and I am afraid I would leave someone out and I do not want to hurt anybodys feelings. I am just thankful for friends and fellowship and I just wanted you all to know!

1.4 lbs this week!

That makes a total of 5.4 pounds. I was a little disappointed because I didn't lose more but at least I lost some I guess. Me, Darla, Penny and Kelly have started walking around the track - that was my goal this last week to start walking. My goal for this week is to do some strength training. So I have 9.6 pounds to go to my first goal weight.

I LOST 4 POUNDS THIS LAST WEEK

6 years ago this summer I started Weight Watchers and lost 30 pounds. I kept it off for 3 years and then started gradually gaining the weight back. Interest in Weight Watchers fizzled out and there was no meeting in Locust Grove to go to so I did not have to weigh in every week and I just ate more! That is no excuse - I have tried several different things to lose weight but I just love the way Weight Watchers works. You can eat anything - you just have to count it. If I wanted a pepsi I could have one or a candy bar - you just have to count it towards your total points for the day.

My first goal is 15 pounds! I think after that I need to lose another 8 or 10 pounds. I am going to start exercising again - maybe I can ride bikes with Verla and Katie!

Callie will be home tomorrow. She has been gone since July 3. I am anxious to see her and hear about her experiences at Truth and Peace. I am thankful that she was accepted and was able to go. I am grateful because the South Grand River Association and our church split the fee which was 925. The Lord always provides. When she was getting ready to go I wasn't for sure about how much spending money she needed and with me and Scott having expenses for starting a new business I wasn't sure how we were going to manage. The Lord provided through a sweet lady that works at my mom's place of work - she gave Callie $50 and then both grandmas gave her $ and Janet Larsons SS class gave her $50 to help purchase new clothes. Isn't God awesome!!!!!!!!!!!

This will be my third post for this month! I know Dennis Fletcher will be so proud!!!!!!!!!!

I am still in school. Kids tomorrow, meetings and cleanup Thursday - checkout Friday and them I am done. I am ready for this school year to be over with. I also resigned my teaching position and I will be staying at home this next year. Scott is buying a business and I am going to stay at home and help. It is a business that will be ran out of our home. Please pray that everything goes well. Kind of scared about quitting my teaching job but if it doesn't work out I can always go back to teaching.

Callie is taking Drivers Ed!!!!! I don't even know if she can see over the steering wheel??? Is it possible that I have a daughter that is almost old enough to drive? She is so busy with school and church stuff that Scott and I will not see her much this summer. Football practice almost every day, drivers ed, work, church camp, truth and peace - does it ever end? I feel like she is already spreading her wings to prepare to leave in a couple of years.

Caleb doesn't have much planned - church camp, mowing with his dad and fishing with Uncle Bobby. He will probably try to spend as much time as possible with Blake, J.W., Brett and Zach. He absolutely loves spending time with those guys - who knows why?

I am going to have a yard sale on June 7th with a few other people and then leave for church camp on the 10th. After I get back I will have to start working on learning some things for the business. Scott plans to take over July 1.

I also need to take Callie shopping for Truth & Peace. Does anyone have any suggestions on places we can find some nice dress clothes for the convention. She wears a double zero and that is hard to find sometimes and when you do it is also expensive. I am open to suggestions.

School is almost out

Does life get any better? Well for me it does because me and my kiddos along with mom, dad, Becca, Abby, Blake and Ema are going to Las Vegas! We will get to spend time with Ben and Christina and JOSIE! Good News - there is also another baby on the way - January 1st. Josie said if it was a boy to throw it in the trash and if it is a girl she wants to name it Rachel! I can't wait to see them.

I am excited because there is a possibility that I won't be teaching next year and I will be able to stay at home and work! I will explain later - it is definitely bedtime for this old gal.

I have enjoyed my spring break. The weather has been fabulous except for the wind. I have been staying up late and sleeping late - which is how it should be in a perfect world. I finally have all of my boxes unpacked and have started hanging pictures on my walls. I need to make several purchases - new tv, tables for my bedroom, etc. I have run out of money. I need to start going to some garage sales in Tulsa and Broken Arrow and searching out antique shops for several things I need.

I need to be looking for a job but I guess I will start that next week. Please pray that I will find the perfect job and if it is God's will it will be closer to home.

The next few weeks are going to be busy - we only have 4 more Wednesday nights to rehearse for our program. We need to start working on the set. I also need to complete some tax returns. Bro. Jeff has also added one more "thing" to my list. Oh well, it is hard to tell the Pastor "no". We will be testing the kids at our school over the next several weeks, Caleb has baseball games, etc. I guess it makes the week go by fast....too fast, sometimes.

I just want to say how much I LOVE my church family. It is great to be surrounded by such wonderful, loving people. I can't imagine life without you guys.
